What we do
There is increasing demand worldwide for glass components in increasingly technically sophisticated shapes and thicknesses. Systems that are currently used to produce such 3D shaped glasses are reaching their process-related limits. Vitrum Technologies innovative machines and processes facilitate mass production of complex glass components and optics which were beforehand not economically feasible.
We introduce ourselves
Vitrum Technologies is a spin-off from the Aachen Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT (Fraunhofer IPT). The founders have extensive knowledge in the areas of thermal process technology, mechanical and plant engineering, and forming technology.
Strategy and markets
Vitrum Technologies addresses the automotive, consumer electronics, optics and home appliance markets. What all of these markets have in common is that there is a high demand for cost-effectively manufactured 3D shaped glass.
